Terms and Conditions of Transport Services

1. Booking and General Terms of Cooperation

Placing an order with Connect Logistics Removals constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. The company provides transport and removal services within the United Kingdom and across Europe, cooperating with experienced partners who hold valid transport licenses and carrier liability insurance (OC) up to EUR 500,000.

2. Vehicle Types and Load Limits

Depending on the client’s needs, we offer transport using vehicles with the following specifications:

2,5 m³ / up to 200 kg
5 m³ / up to 300 kg
10 m³ / up to 600 kg
5 m³ / up to 900kg
20 m³ / up to 1200 kg
40 m³ (7,5 tonnes GVW)

Vehicle selection should take into account the weight and dimensions of the shipment. If the allowable weight is exceeded, an additional fee of £1 per each extra kilogram will be charged.

3. Order Acceptance and Execution

Each service is carried out based on a transport document that includes:

sender and recipient information,
pickup and delivery addresses,
contact details,
detailed description of the load.

Arrangements regarding transport (dimensions, date, loading/unloading method, payment method) are made by phone or email. The usual delivery time is 2 to 5 business days, depending on the location and fleet availability.

4. Payment Terms and Order Cancellation

Booking a date requires a deposit of 200–600 GBP, epending on the size of the transported goods.
The remaining balance must be paid before unloading begins (bank transfer).
Cancelling the order less than 7 business days before the planned transport date will result in the loss of the deposit.
In case of discrepancies between declared and actual dimensions or weight of the shipment, additional charges will apply.

5. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for properly preparing the load for transport – including packing and securing furniture and equipment.
The company is not liable for damage caused by improper securing of the goods.
Loading and unloading are the client’s responsibility – the driver does not provide physical labor beyond placing and securing the items in the vehicle.

6. Limitation of Liability

Connect Logistics Removals does not provide additional insurance during transport. In cases of gross negligence on our part, liability is limited to £20 per item or box.

7. Scope of Services – What Is Not Included

Our offer does not include:

assembly or disassembly of furniture,
connecting or disconnecting appliances,
transport of garden or greenhouse elements,
removing items from hard-to-reach areas (e.g., attics without stairs),
laying carpets or other floor coverings.

If needed, we recommend using the services of specialized companies.

8. Prohibited Items

We do not accept for transport:

hazardous or flammable materials,
items prohibited by law (e.g., narcotics),
animals and plants, items of high value such as artworks,
jewelry, precious metals and stones,
cash or financial documents.

If these rules are violated, the client bears full responsibility – including financial – and may be charged a contractual penalty of up to five times the service value.

9. Right of Retention

In the event of late payment, the company reserves the right to retain transported items. If the outstanding amount is not settled within 7 days, we reserve the right to sell the items to recover the owed amount.

10. Force Majeure

In the case of vehicle failure or other unforeseen events, the company will provide a replacement vehicle. Responsibility for the transport is then transferred to the carrier specified in the transport documents (CMR).

11. Complaints

Any concerns regarding the transport service should be reported:

to the driver during unloading,
by phone to our office – on the day of delivery.

12. Reservations

We reserve the right to refuse the service in cases of:

improperly prepared shipment,
exceeding the declared weight or dimensions,
suspicion of illegal nature of the transport.
